Company History

The SIMPLE Music School, formerly known as LESSONS By InNo, was established in January 2015 by recording artist Julian Keyz. Keyz began by teaching piano lessons at local music schools in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, CA while in college. After his first year of teaching, he decided to launch his own academy, originally under the name LESSONS By InNo in partnership with his record label, VIBES By InNo.

From the start, the mission was clear: empower young musicians and performers to sharpen their skills, gain confidence, and turn their talents into opportunities. By connecting fellow musicians with eager students, Keyz built a space where education and artistry could flourish together.

Growth and Milestones

• 2015: Opened doors with just one student in Los Angeles, CA.

• 2017–2019: Expanded offerings to include voice, guitar, drums, and music theory lessons.

• 2020: Established a presence in Las Vegas, NV while also transitioning to online learning during the pandemic, serving students nationwide through virtual lessons.

• 2021: Surpassed 250 active students and introduced workshops on music production, songwriting, and live performance.

• 2025: Began expansion to Houston, TX, marking the next phase of growth with plans for multiple locations across the metro area.

Impact on the Community

Over the past decade, TSMS has provided not just lessons, but mentorship, performance opportunities, and a creative outlet for hundreds of students. Alumni have gone on to win scholarships, join professional bands, release original music, and even become music educators themselves.

Looking Ahead

The SIMPLE Music School continues to grow with a focus on accessibility, innovation, and community. With Houston now becoming the new hub, TSMS aims to reach over 1,000 students in the next few years. By combining in-person and online learning, the school is shaping the next generation of musicians to thrive both locally and globally.
